Border Patrol reports a 270% increase in illegal crossings on the northern boundary
By Sarah Hinnenkamp A woman who crossed into the U.S. illegally near Walhalla is being charged in Cavalier County Northeast District Court for two counts of “Child Neglect – Parental Care,” which is a Class C Felony. A Class C Felony carries a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment, a fine of $10,000, or both, may be imposed.
