The Drayton Bombers had a rematch with New Town in the first round of the 6-man Independent Football League playoffs Saturday in Drayton. Drayton defeated New Town 67-25 on Sept. 6, but Saturday’s contest was a bit closer between the 7-1 Bombers and the 6-2 Eagles.
New Town came within a point in the fourth quarter, 41-40, but the Bombers managed a pair of late touchdowns to pull out the 56-46 win.
