Thoughts on the US House race I am undecided between Kelly Armstrong and Cara Mund. I disagree with each candidate on abortion. My priority is to get federal legislation passed to mandate uterine anaesthesia during abortion, so fetuses don't get tortured to death. I have other concerns too.

I don’t know what it is about this time of year but the Hallmark Channel calls to me. I suspect that it’s my love of fall. On that channel many scenes are set with orange and red tree leaves, pumpkins, mums, sweaters with scarves and all the fall coziness.

Today I’m writing from Australia! This time, even in the air. In last week’s column I left off in Dallas where we spent a 6 hour layover. From Dallas we were destined for Seattle. Once we got to Seattle we had about two free hours until we boarded another plane to Vancouver.
