My nephew, Ben turned 18 years old on Sunday. Ben and I share one big thing in common and that is our love for fishing. Ben lives in Spooner, a small town in northwest Wisconsin. The area is surrounded by plenty of lakes and rivers, meaning there’s no shortage of fishing opportunities.

Let’s talk about kids at Christmas time. They’re asking for many things they want to be gifted and their hopes are sky high. They are trading ideas with their friends and hoping Santa doesn’t disappoint.

I have a love for Christmas music. The old songs, the new remakes, and even the odd ones. If you want to make the kiddos laugh, put on Gayla Peevey’s song ‘I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.’ For a more adult version of that song, listen to Kacey Musgraves’ version.
