Well, another fantasy football season is about to get underway. This is the second year that I have competed in two different fantasy football leagues and the drafts for teams was held over the Labor Day Weekend.

On Monday, Saralee Hoselton and Phyllis Holter had dinner at the Sugar Bowl Senior Citizens Center and Saralee stayed for an afternoon of cards and socializing. Later, Saralee took Lynette Restemayer of Cavalier and John Restemayer of Grand Forks out for supper at Hastings Landing.

I’m looking forward to the long weekend. Not that I have any special plans, but I am sure I’ll think of something last minute. I always consider the Labor Day weekend to be the last one of the summer, even though the calendar doesn’t agree.

A few years ago, during the holiday season, we were streaming Christmas music videos. My bride left the tv room to start preparing supper when a video started playing that was simply fantastic, two burly guys, dressed in work clothes were singing some of my favorite Christmas songs.

Another school year has begun and I have attended my first Drayton school board meeting. Hilary, when she was the editor of our favorite newspaper, used to listen in on the meetings via Zoom but since she left, no media has ‘covered’ them that I am aware of.I decided to attend for a few reasons.
