Senior Citizen Update

Pembina County Meals & Transportation is pleased to announce that on July 1, 2021, Congregate Meals for senior citizens will resume being served at the three meal sites in Pembina County: the Drayton Senior Citizen Center, the Walhalla Inn, and Thompson’s Café in Cavalier.

Randall Harlow

Randall "Randy" Harlow November 3, 1952 ~ July 22, 2021 (age 68) A Celebration of Life for Randy Harlow of Roosevelt, MN will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 2-4 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad, MN.

Fern Olson

Fern Adell Olson passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born in Erskine, MN on April 15, 1930, the second of the three daughters (Lovey and Norma) of Norman and Georgia Erickson. It was when the family moved to Drayton, ND that Fern first set eyes on Elwood “Woody” Olson.

Amber Bjerke

Amber Jolynn Bjerke 41 of Drayton ND. passed away Jan. 6th 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks ND. Amber was born to Kenneth and Sandra (Green) Bjerke on Nov. 14th 1979. She attended school in Drayton ND. and graduated in 1998.

Reva Gregg

A celebration honoring the life of Reva Grace Gregg (Van Camp) will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 500 East 5th Avenue, Mitchell South Dakota. Please join her family for a Rockin’ Reva Celebration.

Edith Monette

Edith Louise (Little) Monette was born May 13, 1928 in Northcote, MN to George and Amanda (Briemon) Little. She grew up and attended school at Pembina where she graduated from high school in 1946. Edith worked at the Citizen State Bank and was the first female to be hired at Motor Coach Industries.

Jennifer Marciniak

Jennifer Donna Marciniak, formerly of Grand Forks ND, passed away unexpectedly of a blood infection March 31st at Renown Health Hospital in Reno NV. Jennifer was born August 12th 1983 at United Hospital in Grand Forks ND. She attended Drayton Public School and graduated in 2001.

Cindy Meader

Cindy Kay Meader was born August 30, 1957 in Duluth, Minnesota the daughter of Francis and Gail Dorion Pede. Cindy passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. She resided in Drayton, ND at the time of her passing. Cindy graduated from Humboldt High School in May of 1976.

Joy Bakken

Joy Orrine Elizabeth (Aaser) Bakken of Drayton, ND passed away at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND on December 29, 2020 at the age of 91. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in Drayton Lutheran Church.

Michael Bratlie

Michael Bratlie, 60, of Drayton, North Dakota passed away at Sanford Hospital in Fargo on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Michael LeRoy Bratlie was born November 27, 1960 in Grafton, North Dakota to Jerome and Marlene (Hanson) Bratlie.
