Events in our world seem to be spiraling out of control, with no good end in sight. There is the weeks long war in Iran. Its rulers show no sign of backing down or giving up. A recent headline says “Saudis Warn Oil Going to $180, Gasoline to $7 at Pump.

We may not know what the years will bring. “The length of our days is seventy years – or eighty, if we have the strength” (Psalm 90:10a, NIV). I transitioned out of fulltime employment at age 62. I went to help my aging parents in Mesa and didn’t look back.
