Pembina County 4-Hers compete in State Agronomy Contest

Pembina County had sixteen 4-H agronomy judgers compete at the State 4-H Agronomy Contest held March 14, 2026, at Carrington High School and at NDSU’s Carrington Research Extension Center. Junior participants were Pyper S., Oscar H., Naomi S., Stella N., Levi N., Nathan S., Chloe H., Charlie H.

Oil is nearly $100 a barrel. Don’t expect North Dakota oil activity to ramp up any time soon

North Dakota’s oil and gas industry is not expected to significantly increase drilling activity in response to the price surge, a stark departure from the familiar boomand-bust cycle in the Bakken. Domestic crude oil pricing benchmarks have been hovering just shy of $100 per barrel.
