Cavalier Thrift Store awards $8,000 in scholarships

The Cavalier Thrift Store awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to area students that will be furthering their education in the fall of 2026.The Thrift Store awards scholarships to students that are enrolling in a two-year technical/trade school, or a vocational program of study.

Travis Dean Bell was sentenced to the maximum for each count against him in Northeast Central District court in Grand Forks on Monday, for an accident that severely injured Nicole Louthain of Grand Forks and killed her six-year-old daughter, Katarina.

Drayton High School Graduation

On Sunday, May 17, 11 high school seniors adorned in caps and robes entered the Drayton gymnasium for their commencement ceremony.Trypp Castillo provided the opening remarks and invocation, praying for guidance for the graduates, as well as courage, wisdom and kindness.
