Local physician assistant receives statewide honor

Pembina County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) is proud to announce that Laura Ermer, PA-C, has been named the 2026 Outstanding Physician Assistant of the Year by the North Dakota Academy of Physician Assistants (NDAPA), one of the profession's highest honors in North Dakota.

The Drayton Sugar Bowl Senior Citizens Center was transformed into a tropical getaway on Thursday, July 16, as Johnny Pineapple and his wife, Bonnie, brought a Hawaiian-themed performance to kick off Drayton Riverfest.The day before their Drayton stop, the couple performed in Hallock, Minn.

The 13th Annual Drayton Ribfest was held on Saturday, July 18, as part of Drayton Riverfest. Although temperatures were high, the heat didn't stop people from coming out to enjoy great food, friendly competition, and a fun community tradition.
