The Titans Volleyball team wrapped up their regular season play with a win against Midway/Minto in Minto on Monday night. Game details can be found on page twelve for this game.
Their last home game was played in Crystal on October 28 where the Senior players and their parents were honored. This year’s team consisted of six seniors who are finishing up their High School Volleyball careers after this season comes to a close.
This season saw a new coaching staff on all levels. The Junior High Coach was Sydney Laxdal, Assistant Coach Jessica Hanson, Head Coaches Marcus Tucker and Brandon Laxdal. This year’s Varsity team consisted of six seniors, six juniors, and two sophomores. The future for Titan Volleyball looks bright if all the members of the team continue to participate.
The Titans finished their season ranking number nine with 4 wins and 9 losses for Region 2 going into the Regional tournament. The official start to the Region 2 tournament will be this Friday night with Round 1 being play in games. The top three teams will have a bye and automatically advance to the Quarterfinals of tournament play which will begin Monday November 11 at the Grafton High School starting at 3:00 p.m. Teams ranked 4 - 13 will play a loser out game on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at the home of the higher seed. The play in games take the place of the district tournaments. Drayton/Valley Edinburg will take on Finley-Sharon/Hope Page on Friday night at the Finley-Sharon High School in Finley.
