Paul wrote, “You must understand this, that in the last days distressing times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1, The Jewish Annotated New Testament).
Other translations read: “dangerous times”, “grievous times” (CEB, ASV). The Living Bible says, “... in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian.”
It would not be a stretch for us to say that those days are our days.
