Obituary for ROSE H. ANDERSON Rose passed peacefully away on November 22, 2025.
She was 94 years old.
Rose Helen Lorenzen was born April 1, 1931 in Drayton, North Dakota. She graduated from Drayton High School – class of 1949.
Rose married Waldie E. Anderson in 1953. They farmed in the Drayton area until Waldie’s death in 1974. She then moved to Moorhead, Minnesota and worked in the dining and food services department at Concordia College. She retired in 1996 and moved to Spearfish, South Dakota to be closer to family.
Rose was known as the ‘coffee lady’ and always had a warm pot of coffee on for the congregation at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Health concerns brought Rose to Montana in 2020. She had since been in care at Madison Valley Manor Nursing Home in Ennis, Montana.
She leaves behind her son, Ryan (Pat), Bozeman, MT, 2 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren: Megan (Troy) Paulson and Anders and Finn, Bozeman, MT; Nicole (Aaron) Lawson and Elianna and Barrett, Avon, IN.
Rose’s legacy was her love of family, and her gift of friendship and service. She was a true servant of the Lord.
Funeral arrangements are with Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service, Bozeman, MT. Her ashes will be interned with Waldie in the spring.
