Robert Allen Auen, 82, passed away at Unity Hospital in Grafton, North Dakota on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Robert was born September 21, 1941 in Mott, North Dakota to Claude and Laura Auen. He was the fourth of five boys. He was raised on a farm near Mott. Bob served in the US Navy. He met the love of his life, Judy Christopherson (Chris’ Mother), while Bob worked as a chef and Judy was working at the Air Force Base. They were married two years later, and Bob adopted Chris. Bob was a man of many traits. He enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading and spending time with his family. Bob was the kindest soul you’ve ever met. He will be missed deeply by many.
Robert left behind his son, Chris (Kimberly), Drayton; a grandson, Tylor Auen and girlfriend Caitlynd, Grand Forks; a granddaughter, Brandi Auen, Drayton; great grandson, Jon Brecken Auen, Drayton; a brother, Roger(Dianne) Auen, Tioga, ND and many other close relatives, Yvette, Ashley, Kody, Haleigh, Marissa, Alexis and Jason.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his parents, Claude and Laura; and brothers, Hugo, Butch and Arland.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in New Life Assembly Of God Church, Drayton. Visitation was at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date in New Rockford, ND.
