Patricia Kay Osowski, 70, of Stephen, Minnesota passed away Aug. 29 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident near Stephen. Patty was born to John “Jack” McGuire and Bernice (Vary) McGuire on May 11, 1953. She was raised on the family farm near Oslo and graduated from Oslo High School in 1971. Patty met the love of her life Robert J. Osowski and they wed on Nov. 12, 1973. They settled on a farm near Argyle until Robert’s work relocated them to Drayton, North Dakota.
Patty held many jobs throughout her life including Raney Hardware, MCI, the Development Center in Grafton, Hallock Nursing Home, and was employed until her death with Hastings Landing and Evergreen and Ivy. Robert and Patty relocated to Stephen in 1998 and lived there until her death. Patty had a knack for sewing and quilting and enjoyed thrifting with her sisters, but her most enjoyable treasures were her grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her children, Tamm (Chris) VanCamp, Drayton, Greg (Desirae) Osowski, Drayton and Trisha (Paul) Trousil, Oslo, Minnesota; grandchildren, Nicholas and Alyson VanCamp, Kyla (Abby), Kayli (Anthony), Kelsi, Kennedy, Johnathon, and Jackson (Maddie). She is also survived by her siblings, Geraldine Hoff, Carol Olimb and Lynn McGuire, brothers-in-law, Kevin (Connie) Osowski, Marcel (Becky) Osowski and sister-in-law, Gail Osowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brothers-in-law, Loren Hoff, Gary Olimb, and Dean Osowski.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Catholic Church, Stephen. Interment will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service. Fr. Luis Buitron, presiding; St. Stephen Choir and Marilyn Hanson, organist. Honorary pallbearers will be Patricia’s grandchildren. Austin Funeral Chapel, Stephen.
