The word authority has been seen a lot lately as people try to use it, create it, and explain it. It would do us good if we see what the Bible says about authority. Proverbs 29:1-2 is a good starting point; “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Look around, do you see the people rejoice? People are looking for authority in all the wrong places.
