A life well lived...

When I get to the end of my life, I want people to say that I had a life that was well lived. My definition of a life well lived for myself does not include going to the wildest parties or having the largest number of acquaintances or social media followers. My definition is perhaps simpler.
Somehow, I do not think it will be quite the same.

Along time ago, probably more than thirty years, a good friend of mine was diagnosed with an uncurable form of cancer and was told that he had one good year left. Being a newspaper publisher, he told his readers of his diagnosis in the very next issue of his weekly newspaper.
